Mario Sileci was born in Turin in 1969; he works in Prato, where he has been living for over 30 years. He has attended the Public Art Institute of Sesto Fiorentino, he obtained the diploma of Master of Arts and afterwards the diploma of Applied Art.
In 1992 he started attending the Fine Arts Academy of Florence where he frequented Professor Roberto Giovannelli?s painting course and Professor Mongatti?s engraving course; he graduated with full marks in 1997.
He has participated in some contests and many group exhibitions, among them ?Accademia in Galleria? at the Lyceum Club Internazionale, in collaboration with the Modern Art Gallery of Palazzo Pitti.
During his career he has attended to ?cartoon cinema?, to decoration and restoration of artistic goods.
In 2007 the municipal district of Saint-Paul da Vence charged him with the finishing of Jean Michel Folon?s project for the decoration of the ?Cappella dei penitenti bianchi? (white penitents Chapel): he reorganized the job and realized eight large paintings).
